We give an example of a Beurling algebra $\\mathcal{A}$ for which $\\operatorname{rad}(\\mathcal{A}^{**}, \\Box) \\neq \\operatorname{rad}(\\mathcal{A}^{**}, \\Diamond)$, answering a question of Dales and Lau.
