Let $P\\in \\mathbb{N}$. We define the function: \\[ S\\left(x\\right) =x+\\sum_{k=1}^{P}\\left(\\prod_{\\ell=1}^{k-1}\\frac {2\\,\\ell-1}{2\\,\\ell}\\right)\\frac{\\sin\\left(x\\right)^{2\\,k-1}}{2\\,k-1}\\,. \\] For every initial value $x_0$ sufficiently close to $π$, the sequence \\[x_{n+1}=x_n+S\\left(x_{n}\\right)\\;;\\,n=0,1,\\ldots\\] is converging to $π$ with order of convergence exactly $\\left(2\\,P+1\\right)$. The computational tests we performed demonstrate the efficiency of the method. \\[\\]…","category":"research","comments":0,"disputed":false,"division":"math","mentions":0,"discussed":0,"published":"2026-03-14","reactions":{}}
