The ultimate goal (to be addressed in a subsequent paper) is to complete the work done in the author's PhD thesis from 1980 and to establish a general characteristic $p$ form of the converse of Abel's theorem discussed by Griffths and used in the Lie-Wirtinger theorem on double translation manifolds and the geometry of webs.","category":"research","comments":0,"disputed":false,"division":"math","mentions":0,"discussed":0,"published":"2026-07-10","reactions":{}}
