The model is based on a complex scalar field coupled to the electromagnetic field as usual, and also to the Kalb-Ramond field through the dual vector associated with the strength tensor of the $2$-form gauge field. There is an additional topological coupling of the electromagnetic field and the Kalb-Ramond field.
