As a corollary, the associated $C^*$-algebras are UCT Kirchberg algebras, recovering results by Carlsen--Thomsen via dynamical methods. In the zero-dimensional case, our result also verifies Matui's AH-conjecture for these groupoids using a recent breakthrough of Xin Li.
