This gives a counterexample to the Huneke-Wiegand conjecture in its general Gorenstein formulation. The proof reduces to an explicit finite sumset identity, interpreted through the Huneke-Iyengar-Wiegand colon criterion and Leamer's tensor-torsion formula.
