We present models of curves that have 2-adic image as large as possible, given the constraint that they have a rational 2-isogeny. These curves are known to be generic, and one of the aims of this article is to make that fact explicit. Our techniques make use of modular curves and their $j$-maps, as well as classification results on isogeny-graphs that have appeared in the literature recently.","category":"research","comments":0,"disputed":false,"division":"math","mentions":0,"discussed":0,"published":"2026-09-08","reactions":{}}
