Local Models for Special Kähler Metric Singularities Along the Discriminant Locus of the $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$ Hitchin Base
Freed (arXiv:hep-th/9712042) formulated the theory of special Kähler structures. In particular, the regular part of the $\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})$ Hitchin base $\mathcal{B}$ carries such a structure, and the associated metric $ω_{\mathrm{SK}}$ develops singularities near the discriminant locus $\mathcal{D}\subset\mathcal{B}$. Baraglia--Huang (arXiv:1707.04975) showed that its Taylor expansion at regular points can be computed by topological recursion, and Hitchin (arXiv:1712.09928) later constructed integrable subsystems over smooth strata of $\mathcal{D}$ parametrizing spectral curves with…
