We show that the silting theory of a locally finitely generated non-positive dg algebra over a complete local noetherian dg ring is determined by its derived closed fiber. More generally, we establish the invariance of silting theory under suitable derived base change. The key ingredient is a silting--simple-minded correspondence between the perfect derived category and the derived category with finite-length cohomology.
