There are infinitely many Hilbert cubes of dimension 3 in the set of squares
For an integer tuple $(a_0,a_1,\ldots,a_d)$ with $a_i\neq0$ for $i=1,\ldots,d$, we define the associated Hilbert cube by \[ H(a_0;a_1,\ldots,a_d) = \left\{ a_0+\sum_{i=1}^d \varepsilon_i a_i: \varepsilon_i\in\{0,1\} \right\}. \] We call $(a_0,a_1,\ldots,a_d)$ a $d$-dimensional Hilbert-cube presentation. We prove that there are $\gg N^{1/4}$ reduced Hilbert-cube presentations $(a_0,a_1,a_2,a_3)$ with $a_0,a_1,a_2,a_3\in[0,N]$ such that \[ H(a_0;a_1,a_2,a_3)\subset \mathcal{S}, \] where $\mathcal{S}=\{m^2:\;m\in\Z\}$. Moreover, we prove that for each $i, j\in\{0, 1, 2, 3\}$ with $i…
