Coherent Entanglement between Massive Oscillators from the Quantized Gravitational Field
In this work, we investigate how entanglement between two massive quantum particles trapped in harmonic oscillator potentials is generated after they interact with propagating modes of the quantized gravitational field. Specifically, we consider only the entanglement arising from the coherent contribution of the gravitational field to investigate its causal structure. We employ the Feynman-Vernon influence functional approach, within which the contribution of the coherent gravitational field to entanglement generation can be traced to the commutation relation of the gravitational field.
