The main result of this paper is a generalization of a theorem of Nakajima-Landweber-Stong to the modular invariant rings of transvection groups over Dedekind domains. More precisely, let $A$ be a Dedekind domain and $K$ be its field of fractions. Assume that $A$ contains a finite field $\mathbb{F}_q$ with $q=p^r$ elements for a prime $p$. Let $n\geq 2$ and consider a finite subgroup $G$ of $\mathrm{GL}(A^n)$ such that every non-identity element of $G$ inside $\mathrm{GL}(K^n)$ is a transvection. Consider the ring $A[X_1,X_2,\dots, X_n]$ and let $G$ act linearly on the ring (fixing $A$).…
