We introduce a new stochastic model of telomere length dynamics during hematopoiesis. The numerous cell divisions occurring in this setting makes telomere length dynamics, and in particular their attrition, a crucial aspect of hematopoiesis. After recalling the main aspect of the biological setting, we describe an individual based model of hematopoietic population cells. We then study its behaviour in the large population limit, as well as its fluctuations.
