In this note, we elaborate on a result of Krannich--Kupers--Mehzer on Disc-presheaves. We show that equivalences of $2$-truncated Disc-presheaves of manifolds yields homotopy equivalences with trivial normal invariant. As an application, we show that two closed, simply connected manifolds are homeomorphic if and only if their $2$-truncated Disc-presheaves are equivalent.
