Hybridizable Discontinuous Galerkin methods for the Keller-Segel model
We propose a hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin (HDG) finite element method to approximate the solution of the time-dependent Keller-Segel model, a drift-diffusion system describing chemotactic cell movement. We develop and analyze the corresponding HDG scheme, and establish theoretical convergence results for the proposed discretization. Finally, we present numerical experiments that confirm the theoretical findings.
