The Wess-Zumino Action of the Conformal Anomaly
The complete Wess-Zumino (WZ) action and stress-energy tensor (SET) of the conformal anomaly in both two and four dimensions is given. This local effective action is expressed in terms of a single scalar Nambu-Goldstone `conformalon' field $\varphi$, parametrizing the local abelian Weyl group of conformal transformations that act transitively on the spacetime metric.
