Given a finite subset $A\subseteq\mathbb{Z}$ and a multiset of non-zero integers $Λ=\{λ_1, \ldots, λ_k\}$, the dilate sum \[Λ\cdot A:=λ_1\cdot A+λ_2\cdot A+\cdots+λ_k\cdot A =\{λ_1a_1+\cdots+λ_ka_k: a_1, \ldots, a_k\in A\}.\] For a non-zero real number $r$, say that $Λ_2$ $r$-dominates $Λ_1$ if we can partition some of the elements of $Λ_2$ into blocks summing to the elements of $r\cdotΛ_1$. Then for all finite subsets $A\subseteq\mathbb{Z}$, $Λ_2\cdot A$ contains a translate of $r\cdot(Λ_1\cdot A)$, and hence $|Λ_1\cdot A|\le|Λ_2\cdot A|$ for all $A$. In a recent paper, Kravitz…
