MAF composition criteria, exact enumeration of child-selection autocatalytic cores, and degradation regions of linear diluted source networks

We establish three sets of results addressing published questions about the composition, enumeration and degradation of autocatalytic reaction networks. In response to the composition questions of Gagrani, Wang, De Decker and Lacoste (arXiv:2603.02627, Discussion and outlook), we give exact criteria for strict increases in the maximum amplification factor (MAF) under reaction addition, nonnegative species aggregation and shared-species coupling, assuming nonnegative inputs and attained MAFs.
